NAEYC is all about CHILDREN!!
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. NAEYC is committed to becoming an increasingly high performing and inclusive organization. Yes there is a fee to becoming a member, I tried looking for the fee but I think you have to go through the application in order to see what it totals. There are certain things you can either add or just keep a regular membership. There are so many links to access. You can build your library getting 6 books a years for becoming a member. There are also articles that can help you along your journey of teaching. One that caught my eye was "Technology in the Early Childhood programs". I thought it fit pretty good since our EDU271 class is all about. There are also forums where you can speak to other aspiring or current teachers like you. I'm sure you can chat about anything in there to boost self esteem and learn from others. I could actually use this in the future. In order to become a success you must learn from others. I feel that this is a great way to start. Imagine yourself where you are now and what you could become if you simply just invest time and a little bit of money. Getting ideas, hearing experiences from others, and learning new interesting things to bring to the classroom can give anyone a great leap of faith. I know this site NAEYC can give much power to anyone who insist on grabbing it.
